Building status:

Unit status:

2009-12: A big thank to ZoiD, zMap is currently patched to 1.24c, with all features working 100%, I also made few videos about the recent "hot" undying phoenix bug, enjoy!

how an undying phoenix owning a mixture of human army taken from actual ladder solo game, opponent was pissed :D

phoenix owning some elf units, also taken from actual ladder solo (the elf took all three goldmine on EI map and still lost that game)

vs lot of units? No problem! This is video played at 1/2X speed, so you can see better how undying phoenix works

2009-10 zMap Reopen! ZoiD and zMap is back.  Patched to WC 1.24, need say more? Forum Link

Updates: The "Epsilon Group" and "Sigma" has created a series of confusing dramas, as a result they are no longer supporting zMap.  At some point ZoiD reopened a blog but shortly ended.  At this point there is no active development/support for zMap.

New Author: as of 2009-02-06, the old website (battlemods.net) is officially closed after two weeks of temporary shut down.  New website is http://forum.mygame-mod.com/.  However, limited information about this new crew (called The Epsilon Group) is know.  One of the admins of the new forum, Sigma, is the new author of zMap.  The new program is called MyWC3.  It is clear that MyWC3 is just a zMap rename, all the features/interface are identical.  If there is any updates about the new program, I will update in here.

Security: as of 2008-11-05, Blizzard announced another round of mass hacker ban (source), many public hack and unknown private hack users were banned.  However, we did statistical study within zMap community, result is 100% of zMap users did not get banned.  It remains the most stable/safe/powerful hack today.

zMap is a not-free, fancy, private made program used for Warcraft III (Frozen Throne).

It is more expensive compare with other private maphacks, but in this particular case, as this review will show you, the higher price gives better quality.  zMap has a lot of powerful features that other MHs do not have, I have heard people calling zMap as a Warcraft ^expansion pack ̄, interesting name but zMap really has some incredible features, as some of them are introduced with screenshots below.

Maphack: as a MH program, maphack is the basic feature of zMap.  Of course, it is undetectable, meaning safe to use it for ladder/tournament games.  Few points worth mentioning about zMap¨s MH feature: you can see enemy¨s ping on minimap, this is a very nice feature to have so you know where opponent¨s attention is (by the way you can turn on/off of enemy pings).  Also you can change things like creep¨s color on minimap.  It also shows grounded items on minimap.

Few of the very useful features belong to the "expansion pack" I love:

* Heroline: I can¨t express enough how powerful this feature is.  The way I like to put it: if maphack gives you current information about the game, then the heroline gives you the future information about the game.  This feature is extremely handy in both ladder and dota games.  Basically, it shows on minimap the next action point (move or attack) of each hero/unit (you can turn on/off only showing enemy units or not).  I am going to attach few screenshots so you can see how this feature works.

Below shows when heroline is extremely useful---AS SOON AS blue ordered his hero to my base (it was Orc BladeMaster), I can see it on the minimap, and that gives me just enough time to upgrade my nerubian tower by the time BM gets to my base, very very imba.  If it's regular MH, you wouldn't know if the BM is going out for creeping or coming towards me, this feature gives you future information about the game.

Below is a screenshot during a dota game, I can see on map blue is on his way to bottom lane, and then I decided to jack him in the jungle (because I know exactly what path he will take)

**More screenshot/examples could be found here.

*     Player Selection: What does it mean? It means you can see which unit is each player selecting.  To make it easy to understand, when you give your control to your ally, you can see his selection (with dotted circle on the unit/building selected).  This feature basically makes you see ALL the selections of every player, without giving anyone control, and yes that includes enemy¨s selection.  One of the handy way to use this feature is to detect MH, so if you opponent uses MH and select your alter at beginning of the game, you will see it and you know the situation better.  Also in dota games when you see yourself getting selected by enemy players, it might be good time to back off a little bit as they may be coming for you.

Some screenshots:

This is a screenshot taken at beginning of a dota game, as you can see, pink is selecting top right house and teal is selecting top left house.

Below is a screenshot at enemy's base, this just to show you you can see enemy's selection perfectly too (note the dotted purp circle)

 * Player Resources:

Just like the name implies, this shows you the race/name/gold/lumber/food of each player.  I found this feature very nice in FFA games, since in FFA sometime it's about how much gold investment do you have.  Knowing opponent's gold is very important in certain situation when the goldmine is about to run out.  (it also makes it a lot easier to type /stats NAME)

* Tie-Hack:  (tie-hack has been patched by Blizzard on server side, but you can still use it for one-time)

Yes zMap has tie-hack, it is very easy to use, only pressing one hotkey and that's it.  But remember it only works when BOTH of the AT players have zMap running.  Below is a screenshot when tie-hack is used.

Few other zMap features are very nice but I don't have screenshots for them or didn't learn to use them yet.

-auto mine (auto move miners onto gold mine at start of game, also moves ghoul onto wood) plus auto build workers  At beginning of each game, your work will automatically go mine, and the ghoul will automatically go lumber, even better, you can set the number of worker you want them to mine, and to set number of workers you want to build in your base, it's just crazy.....I remember when I first ran zmap to play ladder, I was like wtf, I thought I was looking at my opponent's screen when all the workers went to do their thing, LOL.  This feature is ideal for lazy people.

-auto-micro ( remove units below specified life % from combat )  this one is totally imba, everyone knows removing low HP units is the basic of micro during a fight, this feature will DO THAT FOR YOU, you get to choose exactly how much you want to move your unit back under certain %, such as 30% or 40%.  And you can choose the location on map where you want those units move to.

-auto pickup item with hero using a hotkey. My hotkey is Ctrl, very nice feature to have during creeping, whenever an item is dropped just hit Ctrl once and your hero will pick it up.  (I am not orc player but I can imagine this feature will be very useful for BM to ninja creep items)

-mass move unit types (1 click to move 150 copters for example)  Straightforward, you can move every unit you have to one point, since I play ladder and dota mostly,  I don't use this feature very often.  But I've tried it, it works.

-auto cast non-autocastable spells (like ensnare, web, shackles, possession, lightning shield, etc)  -ZoiD has made a video demonstrating this at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dlfHIjzZLNU

-pause game hack (pause game for you and the opponent yet still be able to issue actions)  A lame feature, you can make the game to appear lag, while your opponent can't do anything but you can make commands, can totally drive your opponent crazy.

-see enemy cooldown, actual spells owned, etc  When you select enemy hero, you can see which spells they have chosen and what are the current cooldown, very useful feature for dota.

New Changeable Fog (Shroud) Feature

This feature allows you to change the fog display in the views of certain or all players.(by using a customer defined hotkey),

Below screenshots should give clear idea of how it works.  Please note, the fog only gives you idea of what should player suppose to see, so zMap user can still see everything under fog.

I like to set this to Players View, this way I know my opponent suppose to see.

One way to use this feature---set fog to opponent's view, so I know my DK is standing right outside of his sight.

This mode could be useful for tower rush.

1.22 patch:

the official zMap for the official 1.22 was released 3 days after Blizzard, as of 7/13/2008, zMap is reopened to public for sale.

1.22 BETA-C new feature: Grey hp bar feature.

I like this new feature a LOT,  basically every enemy unit under fog will have a grey hp bar instead of red/green/orange one

this will be the easiest way to tell whether you are suppose to the units or not, ideal for acting you don't have MH, examples:

LEFT: enemy base under fog (all hp bar grey), RIGHT: half units with green bar as I approach the base.

LEFT: elf army rushing me under fog(all hp bar grey),  RIGHT: they reached my base(two units green bar)

Few useful new features recently added (09/2008):

Auto-feed:

This feature is extremely useful for feeding strategies.

Basically you press a hotkey and you will be able to feed all your resources (both gold and lumber) to certain player at a non-stop pace.

This way feeder can concentrate on harassing and the player being fed can have the most resources possible at any time.

LLH (Long Load Hack):

You will appear as loading status until you cancel it (by pressing a hotkey)

During this time you could tab out, profile every player, go take a drink, browse some webpage

Sometime opponent will just close Warcraft because they don't want to wait or think program crashed

Even they don't leave, there is good chance they will be afk for a few seconds at beginning of game

Auto-Tab:

There is no screenshot of this feature because what it does is Warcraft window will remain maximized when all players finish loading and game starts,  this is very handy for custom games such as dota.  You don't need to keep tabbing in and out to check if game started.

two new features (added 2008-11)

Creep-item-showing

(can't think of a better name to call this feature)

basically, you move your mouse on top of a creep,

if the text is white, means the creep wont drop any item

if the text is orange, means the creep will drop item

This feature is super useful when creeping (so can always pick the creeps with item first)

Unlimited Zoom--name says it all, can unlimited zoom in all ladder&custom games, below are 4 screenshots of a ladder game with 4 different zooms
